Hey, I'm Tim!
I take photos of families, couples and weddings around Adelaide, South Australia.
I bloody love taking photos, which is probably a good thing considering how much of my time I spend doing it.

Family & Couple Photography
If you've ever tried getting small children dressed, fed and out the door at a particular time, you'll know that organising family photos can be a bit of an undertaking. I've got two little boys. I get it.
Fortunately, I'm not expecting everyone to stand still and smile on command for an hour. The shoot isn’t just a means to an end - it should also be great fun. After all, we want the kids to look forward to the next time!

Why me? Well, if you want a photographer who bloody loves taking photos, but who knows that great photography is an important - but not the most important - part of your day, I think we'll get along.
To be honest with you, there isn't much I won't do to help make sure you have an amazing day. If you want to run something past me at any stage, I have a severe addiction to checking my emails and messages all the f*cking time, and I'm never far away.
From my perspective, the focus of your day should be on you celebrating with your guests. We don't do things because "that is just how it has always been done" - we work out what the perfect day looks like for you, and we make that day happen.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably getting sick of reading, so I’ll keep this short.
I'm married to Alysha, dad to two little boys, and a lawyer when I'm not behind the camera. Not exactly the most obvious combination, but here we are.
Why photography? I don't have some grand, inspiring origin story. I just bloody love taking photos and love getting to meet all of you.
Anyway, that's enough about me. Let’s get to work.

Family Photography FAQs

For my usual forest and coastal locations, neutral or earthy colours tend to work well. I'd generally avoid really busy patterns, too.
Beyond that, wear something you actually like wearing. I'd much rather everyone be comfortable than have you spend a fortune buying outfits you'd never ordinarily put on.
Once you're booked, I'm happy to help with ideas.

Not much. Phone, keys, water and anything the kids might need.
Snacks and a spare set of clothes are usually worth bringing. Particularly the snacks.

I don’t remember the last shoot I did where my clients didn’t warn me they were awkward in front of the camera.
Snap, though. Don’t worry - I’ll guide you from start to finish.

Most of my shoots take place in and around Adelaide, particularly through the southern suburbs. I also offer at-home sessions.
